Description:
This strategy consists in organizing groups of 3 students/individuals whom will take turns playing 3 different roles: interviewer, interviewee, and the recorder. This activity is a great resource to discuss controversial issues and to brainstorm different points of view. Allows students to access higher levels of thinking, while infer about the facts of new and relevant topics in social contexts.
Application:
This strategy can be used as a review, to activate prior knowledge, or to discuss main ideas of a chapter. It could be applied in physical and social science classes when introducing a new chapter, in the middle, or to culminate a unit. This strategy will allow educators to observe different levels of reasoning, language applications and to promote critical thinking while enhancing social and communication development skills.
